Success Stories

THE SETTING

When the efficiency and profitability of one of the world’s largest software and information technologies companies – a proverbial “household name” in the IT sector – becomes hampered by organizational and communicative difficulties, the stakes are high. This is precisely what took place within the Enterprise Product Groups (EPG) division at the WLSC. Although consisting of only 12 tenured senior directors and their direct reports, this division currently accounts for approximately 1/3 of the organization’s overall sales and marketing budget. As such, the need to cultivate a streamlined and seamlessly integrated organizational environment was absolutely crucial; a responsibility I accepted with both enthusiasm and anticipation.

Institute of Beck
Situation

This 100 employee psychological behavior institute had to establish a formal internal committee to address the problem of above industry employee turnover, for a third consecutive year now.

The goal assigned to them by their president was to reduce this level ten percent below the industry average.

CITIC

CITIC
Challenges

The HR team based at the Shanghai headquarters of CITIC, one of the larger leading providers of consultancy services, was seeking to make the best possible use of the automated HR systems & also had a several other plans to enhance their services to managers. They were ready to work with the managers to select & hire the best of them, if they could just get a good pool of candidates.

VantagePoint

The need for doubling the headcount projections for VantagePoint (Tianjin, China) was due to their rapid expansion in 2005. Ranging right from wireless design infrastructure to application design, they had to fill up around 50 graduate vacancies across 17 different profiles. The biggest challenge posed to them was to acquire candidates for all these roles before their summer break in May.

Human Resources Program Manager (PMHR) Proposal

In order to maximize employee productivity and ensure seamless employee succession, a reliable communications link must be established between those working in a recruiting capacity and those who comprise the project teams in their entirety. That link must come in the form of a dedicated Program Manager in Human Resources. I have the technical, managerial, and communications skills necessary to make that happen.
